Solo Outings Society is operated by Latywa Edwards.

Solo Outings Society (“SOS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a lifestyle and editorial brand for enjoying things on your own terms. This policy explains how information is handled when you read our public website, sign up for The Outings Edit, use the Three-Hour Window, or contact Support.

Information you provide

The Outings Edit. When you sign up, we collect your email address and information identifying the signup path. We use Kit to manage the subscription and send confirmation, welcome, and newsletter emails.

Three-Hour Window. The quiz uses your selections about time, energy, outing preferences, spending, and area to choose three outing ideas. At the email step, your email address, quiz selections, signup source, quiz version, and selected results are sent to Kit. The results include internal recommendation identifiers and the text used for your personalized email recap. This information supports the quiz signup, recap, and newsletter experience.

The area selection is a quiz preference. It is not a request for your device’s precise location.

Your quiz answers and results are held temporarily in the page and reset when you refresh. They are not saved in your browser’s localStorage or sessionStorage. This is separate from the quiz information sent to Kit at signup.

Results appear on the website after a successful signup submission. Email confirmation is a separate step in the subscription process. Your quiz information sent to Kit is associated with your email address; it is not anonymous quiz data.

Support. If you email us, we receive your email address, your message, and any information or attachments you choose to include. We use that information to investigate, respond, and keep a record of the issue. If your question concerns Passport, we may also review the relevant customer or order information through our support process.

Please do not send passwords, full payment-card numbers, sign-in codes, private gift claim links, or other credentials to Support.

How we use information

We use public-site signup and support information to:

  • manage your email subscription and confirmation;

  • deliver the Three-Hour Window recap and personalize relevant email content;

  • understand which signup path brought you to SOS;

  • respond to questions and investigate reported problems.

Buying, receiving, or activating Passport does not by itself subscribe you to marketing emails. Marketing permission is separate from the communications needed to provide a purchased product or resolve a support issue.

Email subscription and activity tracking

We use Kit to manage email subscriptions and send emails. Emails sent through Kit include tracking images and tracked links that record email opens and link clicks associated with subscribers. Kit also records whether subscribers confirm their subscriptions. Email activity reports may include automated activity from email providers or security tools.

Kit’s advanced link-tracking options for appending subscriber IDs, automatic UTM parameters, and hashed subscriber email addresses are turned off.

Website hosting and traffic information

Framer hosts our public website. Loading the site involves sending technical information, such as your IP address and browser information, to the hosting service.

Framer provides built-in traffic analytics for its websites, including page views, visitor counts, and referral sources. Framer describes these analytics as cookie-free and uses an IP address and browser information with a daily rotating identifier to count visits. These traffic statistics are separate from the email and quiz information you submit to Kit.

The website also loads assets from Framer and fonts from Google Fonts. Loading those resources involves requests from your browser to the relevant service.

Browser storage and cookies

The website stores your theme and reader text-size preferences in your browser’s localStorage so those preferences can persist between visits. Search and reading progress were not found to persist in the tested website.

Our public signup forms are custom Framer forms that send information directly from your browser to Kit. No embedded Kit script or iframe, browser cookies, or Set-Cookie responses were observed in a clean QA Preview. This observation does not guarantee that cookies can never be set.

Services that handle information

Framer handles website hosting. Kit handles public-site email signups, subscriber records, and email delivery, including the quiz recap. Your browser sends signup information directly to Kit.

Support correspondence and case information are handled through the SOS support process. Access to customer information is limited by the support task and the applicable support rules.

Kit’s Data Processing Addendum describes its handling of newsletter subscriber information. Kit’s Privacy Policy describes its own services and activities. Framer’s Data Processing Addendum describes its handling of information for customers using its hosting service.

Your choices and questions

You can read public articles without subscribing. Completing the Three-Hour Window results flow includes an email signup.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in those emails. Unsubscribing does not cancel Passport or stop necessary product and support communications.

For questions about your information, or a request concerning your signup or support records, contact support@solooutingssociety.com. Please use the email address associated with the record when possible. Do not include credentials or unnecessary sensitive information.

Passport and other destinations

Passport is a separate product experience. This policy describes the public editorial website and its signup and support touchpoints. It does not describe every practice involved in Passport purchases, gifts, accounts, or member activity. Review the privacy information and product terms presented in those experiences.

Our articles and pages may link to other websites. Those destinations handle information under their own policies.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the public-site experience changes. The date above identifies the latest revision. Posting an update does not replace any notice or permission required by applicable law.
